    • Description: SYSTHERM developed a complex system for school facility buildings in which revitalisation was done in the form of improvement of the energy efficiency rating of the building – insulation, replacement of the hole packing, recalculation of the current heating area of the radiators for the new technical heating performance of the revitalised building and calculation of the new equitherm curve. The objective of this complex solution is not only securing the quality of the interior environment as far as this concerns CO2, but also the installation of a new superior control system, which fulfils additional functions for improving the energy efficiency rating of the revitalised buildings. For verification of the complex technical solution of the CIIC, the complex of the pavilion of the 87th Nursery School in Plzeň (87. MŠ v Plzni) was chosen. The building solution of this nursery school provided a big advantage – pavilions 1 and 3 are structurally identical and oriented in the same direction in relation to the cardinal points. Radiator control valves CO2, sensors, heat sensors, humidity sensors and VOC detectors were installed in all the pavilions with a superior central dispatch that allows the setting of the operating modes according to the hygiene standards and heat comfort. In pavilion 1, each of the classrooms were outfitted with a SYSTHERM type AirBalance heat recovery unit and air handling unit with a rated output of 600 m3/hod. The operation was fully automated; on the contrary, pavilion 3 required the teaching staff to ventilate the classrooms via the windows upon reaching a CO2 concentration of 1,000 ppm.
