Our company, SYSTHERM s.r.o., received the “Project of the Year” from the Association for District Heating of the Czech Republic for the implementation of the project “Utilisation of heat from the renewable energy sources in Přeštice” in the category of Development and Utilisation of KVET and RES.
Since 2002, this prestigious award has been endowed upon 60 heating projects. The traditional announcement of the results of the 17th year of the Project of the Year Award took place on the ceremonial evening of the Heat and Energy Engineering Days in Hradec Králové. The narrower nominations in 5 categories resulted in the selection of the 16 most interesting projects. In the current history of the competition, the largest number of Project of the Year awards was endowed upon Veolia Energie ČR (9), followed by the MVV Energie CZ group of companies (7), the ČEZ Group (6) and Plzeňská teplárenská (5 awards).
The awards were endowed upon the Projects of the Year in five competition categories by the Chairman of the Executive Board of Teplárenské sdružení ČR Tomáš Drápela, who said: “Heat engineering is going through difficult times, and that increases the need to appreciate the efforts of those who are capable of implementing new projects thus pushing the sector forward. Fortunately there are plenty of them. I am also highly pleased at innovation in relation to the customers without which the development of the engineering industry would be inconceivable.”
