Implementation information
  • Investor: obec Kladruby
  • Implementation: 2014
  • Description: An agricultural complex is located on the outskirts of the municipality and is the site of a biogas station with a combined cycle heat source that burns biogas. This source has 1039 kW of residual heat from the cooling of the motor and flue gases, which was used only at a level of ten percent and about 940 kW of residual heat was lost.

This site has a total of 58 structures, of which 46 were connected to the Central Heat Source (CZT).

Individual implementation steps:
1. Modification of the combined cycle unit – installation of a flue gas exchanger with a nominal output of 460 kW.
2. Realisation of the heat energy transfer point from the manufacturer Kladrubská a.s., which contains an autonomous transfer station, pump module, accumulation of heat in a volume of 2 x 16,000 l.
3. Hot water distribution system made of pre-insulated pipes to the individual offtake points of length 1.3 km.
4. The SYMPATIK VILA transfer station for 42 family houses and 4 SYMPATIK VNV transfer stations for the civic facility buildings.
5. The superior central dispatch for on-line communication with the individual transfer stations and control of the heat source depending on the utilisation of heat accumulation on the basis of weather forecasting.

The project is unique in that its implementation did not require the construction of a heat source with an ecological burden, 100% residual heat from the combined cycle unit is utilised and the price is invoiced to the individual consumers at a rate of only 211 CZK/GJ.

Structural design: The project contractor during preparation of the project implementation documentation designed and installed cutting-edge components and the project implementation documentation was processed with the support of SYSTHERM s.r.o. corporate software.

The project won the Czech Energy and Ecological Project of the Year award.
