  • Description: The project solves the reconstruction of the heat management system of the Municipality of Přeštice with the objective to reduce the natural gas consumption with maximum utilisation of residual heat from the combined cycle units, which are biogas-fired. Three sources of heat, which are hydraulically interlinked and jointly supply heat energy to the central heat source network were merged. This approach to the operation of the system is ensured by high variability of the utilisation of individual heat sources. This especially concerns the unrestricted possibility to distribute heat from an arbitrary combined cycle unit to the point with the highest consumption. This makes it possible to increase the heat consumption from the combined cycle units and reduce the number of gas boiler starts during the short-term consumption peaks.
The project won the Czech Energy and Ecological Project of the Year award.
